That’s A Wrap! - 2022 Year In Review

God gave many opportunities to serve and grow through 2022. With most of the year spent in Uganda, Africa, here is a summary of how the journey is going, as well as what 2023 has in store.

Fireworks.

That’s what most people are watching at the turn of the year.

As for me, I was asleep with one of my not-so-uncommon migraines.

That’s right. I began 2023 humbled, unable to get out of bed, barely able to think, and yet there was something very meaningful about how God had orchestrated it.

2022 by far has been my most interesting year in ministry, being filled with unique opportunities to serve and grow.

I, along with The Discovery Bible Team, were able to preach and teach to both crowds of hundreds and groups of tens.

We got to feed our fellow Ugandan brothers and sisters both spiritually with the word and physically with food, and we built lasting relationships which I’m confident God will use again in the future.

None of this however could be done without the grace of God; and I realise that the most right now as I come out of this intense and humbling migraine.

2023 is set to be a very exciting year as I get ready to move to the United States and continue my work with The Discovery Bible Team at a local church in Bloomington, Illinois.

On top of this, I’m excited to explore something God has been emphasising to me over the last 6 months:

The importance of discipleship that activates. By this, I mean discipleship where everyone is an active participant in sharing what God is teaching them, encouraging others in their walk, and being a witness to this world.

Most of my ministry experience thus far has focused on discipleship that informs the mind (which I still believe is crucial) however, in 2023, I want to explore more ways to get people involved in all aspects of the gospel.

These are the things I look forward to doing as God takes me to America.

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me. Colossians 1:28-29, ESV.
